What is the A-Meezing game show?
On Saturday 10 October 2026 Rose Murphy is at Wapen van Bakenes 2.0. Drag queen, singer, host. The night is billed as the Dragpalace A-Meezing game show. The ticket shop lists 20:00 to 23:00.
The game leans on bingo, with songs instead of balls. You hear a track. If the title is on your card, you mark it. Full card, and there is a main prize for that round. Three rounds. Three prizes each round. Between rounds Rose sings. For Haarlem the organisers call it a disco night: summer hits then and now. The poster in the café window asks you to bring a disco outfit. That is an invitation, not a written dress code.
Rose Murphy is the artist behind the Dragpalace name. She won Miss Travesty Holland in 2007. She has taken the A-Meezing show around Dutch cafés since 2008. 10 October in Haarlem sits on her own show agenda.
Where is Wapen van Bakenes 2.0?
Korte Begijnestraat 21. A few minutes from the Grote Markt, the Bakenessergracht and Teylers. The building is national monument 19476: seventeenth century, a plastered clock gable. On the poster and in the ticket shop the café is Wapen van Bakenes 2.0. Visit Haarlem lists it as a brown café, open on Saturday on their own hours list.
The name sounds like Hofje van Bakenes around the corner. That is a different address. The hofje is Haarlem's oldest courtyard almshouse. The café sits in the same quarter, Bakenes, between the Spaarne and the old centre. Train or bike. Haarlem Centraal is about a ten-minute walk. The street is narrow. Parking in the centre is tight.
How do you get tickets for 10 October?
Tickets run through Ik Ben Aanwezig. The shop listed 14.65 euro. The poster in the window said 15 euro per person. Budget for that and check the shop if the figure has moved.
The date is also on the Dragpalace agenda. On socials search for dragpalace, the name Rose uses.
Three hours of show. Pay for drinks at the bar. Check the shop if you want to know whether tickets are still on sale. Prices and stock can still move.
