Three days with the needle down

From Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October 2026 Haarlem Vinyl Festival fills the city again. Concerts, DJ sets, listening sessions, film, art and vinyl talks. Venues run from PHIL and Patronaat to De Volharding, Schuur, Jopenkerk, Teylers Museum and a long list of cafés and rooms.

  • Professor Mykaell Riley at 16:00 in PHIL: 500 years of Black British music, from ska and reggae to grime

Saturday 3 October

  • Free Record Planet fair on the Grote Markt, 10:00 to 17:00 on both fair days. More than 65 local and international sellers
  • Bnnyhunna presents a Selah listening session at 11:30 in PHIL
  • Boudewijn de Groot at 13:00 in PHIL, in conversation with Menno Pot about half-speed vinyl remasters
  • Sonic Journey at 13:30 in PHIL: seated or lying down, from Chicago and Detroit to Dutch dancefloors
  • Mula at 21:00 in PHIL
  • Same evening elsewhere in Haarlem: Disco Night at De Stinkende Emmer

Sunday 4 October

  • DJ Jigüe at 14:30 in PHIL: Cuban records
  • Gilles Peterson at 16:00 in PHIL: DJ set plus listening session
  • Bente at 20:30 in PHIL
