Lunch & Lecture, Travel to Mongolia
Discover Mongolia with a lunch and lecture on October 15 in Haarlem.

Why This Lecture Matters
On Thursday, October 15, there's a unique opportunity to learn about the fascinating country of Mongolia. In a time where we often stick to our own worlds, this lecture invites us to look beyond. Mongolia, the land of the always blue sky and its nomads, offers a culture rich in traditions without luxury. This lecture is not just informative, but also a chance to connect, even briefly, with another world and its people.
What to Expect
The lunch and lecture are organized by the Seniorenclub Haarlem and will take place at Verhalenhuis Haarlem. Starting at 12:00 PM, you can enjoy a delicious lunch consisting of sandwiches and homemade vegetarian soup, followed by a lecture by Danielle Kraft, journalist and Mongolia traveler. She will take us on a journey through this vast and sparsely populated country, which is 38 times larger than the Netherlands. You will learn about the rich culture of Mongolian nomads, the animals that shape their lives, and the unique hospitality you can experience with every nomadic family.
Practical Tips
Be sure to arrive early so you can enjoy your lunch before the lecture begins. Verhalenhuis Haarlem is centrally located, making it a perfect spot to combine with a walk through the charming streets of Haarlem. You might want to visit the stunning Grote Kerk or one of the many cozy cafés for a coffee after the lecture.
