A new winter favourite
Haarlem gets a brand-new winter attraction. From Saturday 12 December to Sunday 3 January, the industrial Lichtfabriek becomes IJSTIJD Haarlem. An indoor ice rink fills the iconic Turbine Hall, open daily for free skating among the monumental details. Skating aids are available for young children.
Disco skating and curling
On various evenings the hall turns into a disco rink with a DJ, and Santa regularly laces up too. You can also try curling: after a short instruction you play in teams. Companies can book a Company Curling programme.
Winter Square and Winter Café
Prefer to watch? The partly covered Winter Square and Winter Café offer food trucks, hot chocolate and mulled wine, plus après-ski nights, pub quizzes, music bingo and live music.
