Saturday 19 September at the Veerplas

Haarlems Oktoberfest puts a festival tent on the Veerplas on Saturday 19 September 2026. Doors 15:00, finish 23:00. After 20:00 the gate stays shut. The organisers are from Haarlem: father Eelco Visser (AllroundFX, lights and sound) and son Marvin Visser.

The tent is 64 by 35 metres, with two bars, a dance floor, a catwalk and room for 5,000 people. On stage: Sven Versteeg, Otto Wunderbar, Zware Jongens, Wolfgang Saufi, Bernardo, Papa Lauda, Robin Razz and Christa Kerdijk. Every hour a party alarm with games on the stage. The mix is Dutch-language songs, party tracks and Oktoberfest numbers.

Why September? Munich opens its Oktoberfest on the same day. The organisers aim for that date, and for drier weather than October.

A short walk from the station

The Veerplas sits east of the city, in the Spaarnwoude recreation area. The lake was dug in 1994. Haarlem Spaarnwoude station is a short walk. From Amsterdam Centraal you are looking at twenty minutes. From Haarlem centre it is a fifteen-minute bike. Parking around the lake is limited. The organisers ask for train or bike.

Eighteen and over. Bring ID. The site is wheelchair accessible.

Tickets: tables are gone

Beer tables are sold out. A table held up to eight people, with the first five litres of beer tower included. Everyone at that table still needs their own entry ticket.

Regular entry tickets sat at 96 percent sold on the site. That ticket covers the dance floor, both bars, food trucks, the acts and the party alarm. Tickets run through Weeztix on haarlemsoktoberfest.nl. Updates: Instagram @haarlemsoktoberfest.nl.

Food and drink are paid with tokens. In pre-sale €3.50 a token. On site they cost more. Card or cash for tokens at the gate.

Haarlem in the glass

Together with De Hollandse Pilsener Fabriek in Halfweg they pour three festival beers: pilsener, weizen and alcohol-free, with their own label. The organisers say the pilsener took gold at the Dutch Beer Challenge 2026. Food trucks by the tent include bratwurst and pretzels.

Lederhosen or a dirndl is welcome. There is a prize for the best dressed guest.

Earlier in town

The tent opens at 15:00. Morning or early afternoon you can stay in the old centre.
